About IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Dewanhat Mahavidyalaya, established in accordance with the UGC 12th Plan Guidelines, has played a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the college’s performance across various domains. It has significantly contributed to advancing the institution’s mission of providing quality education, fostering innovation, and ensuring the holistic development of both students and staff.

Vision
The IQAC of Dewanhat Mahavidyalaya aims to develop, sustain and enhance a culture of quality for the holistic development of the students most of whom hail from local rural communities and belong to the less privileged sections of the society. IQAC also endeavours to make students self-reliant and well-informed individuals in their professional lives.
The Role of the Coordinator
The role of the IQAC coordinator is crucial is ensuring the maintenance of quality parameters of the college. The coordinator also serves as fulcrum of the IQAC democratically considering the inputs of all persons in the cell, forming a link between the Principal and the faculty to secure the continuous enhancement of the college.
- The coordinator of the IQAC sees to it that the college meets regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- The Co-ordinator of the IQAC coordinates the implementation of the measures and plans that have been formulation to meet the parameters of quality in the college.
- The Coordinator of the IQAC liaisons and works with faculty, the librarian, the non-teaching staff and students to make sure the strategic plans of the college regarding its improvement are realised.
- The Coordinator takes stock of audits, evaluations, and assessments as are required by quality control.
- The Coordinator convenes at least 4 meetings in every Academic Year.
Functions of the IQAC
- Define and maintain the parameters of quality control of the college.
- Educating the stakeholders of the college about the evolving standards of higher education.
- Co-ordinate all activities and programs that enhance the quality of the college.
- Organising programmes for the students and teachers of the college.
- Forming MOUs with other colleges, industry, establishing faculty exchange programs with other colleges
- Documentation of all academic and administrative activities of the college which relate to quality enhancement.
- Arrangement and analysis of feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders for institutional growth.
- Preparation of the SSR (Self Study Report) of the college which is to be submitted to NAAC as per guidelines.
- Convenes regular meetings to formulate plans and strategies to meet the parameters of quality in the college.
