Dewanhat Mahavidyalaya (established in 2007), located at a distance of about 10 kilometers from Cooch Behar town in the south in the calm natural surroundings in the outskirts of Dewanhat (P.O. Dewanhat, Dist.: Cooch Behar, PIN – 736134), is a degree college with Humanities Stream with Honours Course in Bengali, Sanskrit, English, History and Political Science and with General Course affiliation in Geography and the above-mentioned subjects. The college welcomes intending and eligible candidates to get admitted and pursue studies in a cordial and academic atmosphere.

Dewanhat Mahavidyalaya was established in 2007 primarily with the aim of providing quality education to the students of the locality who may not be able to pursue higher education in distant places. It was felt that after passing out from school, they would step on to this college, where side by side with academic excellence, all-round development of the students would be taken care of amidst pristine natural surroundings. With this objective Dewanhat Mahavidyalaya has been trying to open new doors and provide new opportunities to our students, most of whom do not belong to the privileged section of our society. Our committed, highly qualified and competent teachers and our efficient non-teaching staff leave no stone unturned to guide and help students so that their dreams turn into reality.
